This is an interesting song for Communion that says all the right things and in the snippet at Spirit & Song has readings from the Emmaus story said over the music, which are nice. I fear there are too many words spilling over each other too quickly for an assembly to comfortably manage this one and it makes little sense as a solo vehicle. It has a key change for variety and a repetitive refrain but it shouldn’t work on face value. I’d love to be told I’m wrong.
