    There’s nothing specifically “ascension-ish” in the parish’s repertoire – I guess a hang-over from the days when it was celebrated on Thursday not Sunday, so suburban parishes didn’t have music for it.

    And we had our least-experienced musician playing, so had to choose from an even more limited list of things that the congregation is 100% guaranteed to sing. Thankfully the month of May gave a few options to focus on.
