  1. Chris says:

Gathering: Send Down the Fire (Haugen)

Psalm: Lord, Send Out Your Spirit (Haas)

Sequence: Come, O Holy Spirit (Alstott)

    POG: Baptised In Water (Salward)

Communion: We Are Many Parts (Haugen)

Sending Forth: As a Fire Is Meant for Burning (Duck)

  2. Chris says:

You not singing your sequence Geoff?

    • admin says:

I seem to recall mentioning to the team that omitting the sequence was not an option in the past, but I forgot to bring it up this year.

The Alstott one is to “Song of Joy” so perhaps I can suggest it at a liturgy meeting tomorrow night. It’s after the second reading and before the Gospel Acclamation – is that right?

      Geoff

      • Chris says:

Yes, the sequence is after the 2nd reading and before the gospel acclamation and correct it is not an option to have it omitted.

Since we have a Book of the Gospels, we are going to process that in with incense at all our Masses while the sequence is sung (from reading Liturgy Lines in The Catholic Leader as few weeks ago).

We started using Alstott last year and it worked well as it is a tune that people know.

  3. Ryan says:

Gathering: Come, Holy Ghost (trans. Caswall; tune: Lambillotte)

Psalm 104: Lord, Send Out Your Spirit (Zsigray)

Sequence: Pentecost Sequence (trans. Scagnelli; tune based on chant tones)

Gifts: O Breathe on Me, O Breath of God (Hatch; tune: St. Columba)

Communion: One Bread, One Body (Foley)

Closing: O Spirit All-Embracing (Dufner; tune: Thaxted)
