Yola’s parish seemed to have two recessionals on Ascension Sunday one of them being Curtis Stephan’s “Go Out Go Out”. It is a paraphrase of Psalm 117 in a gospel funk style.

We couldn’t end with ‘Go Out Go Out’ because it was new to the parish – and the recessional must be something that everyone knows and can sing to! We introduce our new songs during communion, so ‘Go Out Go Out’ was introduced then. We will continue to sing it over the next few Sundays.
