  1. Ryan says:

I mention this because I didn’t see this song on this site yet. This Saturday I’m part of a wedding party and most of the wedding party, myself included, will be singing Wherever You Go by David Haas as a prelude. All the verses have slightly different tunes, but they are similar enough that the song is still accessible. One of my friends labeled the final verse as morbid, but death is kind of an important part of the wedding vows. Plus, it’s straight from Ruth.

As usual, I’ll post my church’s regular Sunday hymns after Mass… I’m not exactly sure which church that will be yet, probably my old hometown parish where the wedding is being celebrated.

The wedding was a success! Our songs were:
      Prelude: Wherever You Go (Haas)
Opening: Love Has Brought Us Here Together (Bringle; HYFRYDOL)
Mass Setting: Mass of Christ the Savior (Schutte) w/ Celtic Alleluia
      Psalm: Taste and See (Moore)
Gifts: Glory and Praise to Our God (Schutte)
Communion: Sing a New Song (Schutte)
      Ubi Caritas (Hurd)

Using what was on the hymn board for the weekend Masses, here’s this weekend’s selections:
Gathering: At the Lamb’s High Feast (trans. Campbell; SALZBURG)
Mass Setting: Mass for a Servant Church (Guimont) w/ Celtic Alleluia
Psalm: Let All the Earth (Haugen)
Gifts: We Have Been Told (Haas)
      Communion: Draw Near (Neale/Janco)
Closing: Alleluia! Sing to Jesus (Dix; HYFRYDOL)

  2. R.S. says:

opening: Now the Green Blade Rises (Crum; noel nouvelet)
    offertory: Vine and Branches (Thomson)
communion: I Have Loved You (Joncas), To Be Your Bread (Haas)
closing: Alleluia! Sing to Jesus (Dix; hyfrydol)
