Having said that, I’m butting in on it to note that I am on the music roster for tomorrow’s Vigil Mass (Australia Day), and our priests, who are both Filipino, have given me permission to play the Seekers’ “We Are Australian” as the recessional. Although technically the recessional is not part of Mass, I’m crossing fingers that the older congregation members won’t be offended at the lack of liturgical content.
