In 1962 land, where I spent my triduum, we had Mass 4 from the Kyriale, and psalm tones galore. The organist had a blast before the Gloria, and the rest was pretty uninteresting. Ubi Caritas was sung to the proper melody (cos it’s dead easy) while the other antiphons for the mandatum were psalm toned.

Thanks for the link, Ryan.

Our church is also Star of the Sea, but much smaller.

I skipped through to hear the music and thought the sound fine and singing and organ and lovely and obviously a lot of work went into it. As a small semirural parish, we use what we have and since lovely Leonie died we don’t have an organist, so it’s all guitar here I’m afraid.

I wonder if the portrait orientation is for Tiktok use.

It appears the priest washed the feet of men dressed as disciples. That limits the sign in a crippling way – maybe if they were dressed as lepers or prisoners it would work.
Better to just wash as many feet of ordinary parishioners as time allows.

I’ve read that it’s optional, but every parish around here does it except my own. Go figure.
