In reply to <a href="https://www.sixmaddens.org/music-for-the-fourth-week-in-ordinary-time-year-a-31st-january-1st-february-2026/#comment-86802">Gio</a>.

Goodness, Gio.

I don't pick songs by Davis Haas anymore, but I have heard it argued that we should separate the art from the artists and the chance that anyone abused by him turning up at a local mass in Australai is low. There are many in these parts who are are unaware of his fall from grace. That said, there are plenty of other choices out there, and I don't see the need to use his music.

"Gather Us In" as a recessional I will have to take as a cry for help from a burnt out liturgy team.

Feel free to post music selections whenever you have the time. It is a valuable resource for the future.

cheers

Local Parish Vigil Mass:
Entrance: Blest Are They (Haas)
Offertory: Bread Broken (Horner)
Postcommunion: Justly, Tenderly, Humbly (Mangan)
Recessional: Glory and Praise to Our God (Schutte)

Cathedral:
Entrance: Seek, O Seek the Lord (Connolly/McAuley)
Offertory: The Beatitudes (Kearney)
Communion: Adoro Te (Moreno)
Postcommunion: Be Not Afraid (Dufford)

Were the red flags prophetically foretold in September's issue of Liturgy News, page 16?
