I was really waiting for our Gifts song to be Roc O’Connor’s “Seek the Lord,” which is based on the exact verses of the first reading. As the reading was being read, I was singing the words in my head.

All our songs today were sung by the assembly, supported by our contemporary ensemble (4-5 singers, guitar, bass, piano, flute, drums). The congregation seems to do pretty well with All That Is Hidden.

We do The Supper of the Lord quite frequently. I learned it about 15 years ago before the first line was revised to reflect transubstantiation better, and I still sing it wrong occasionally.

I’d love to try “All That Is Hidden” – it’s a gorgeous tune by Farrell, but it seems a challenge for an assembly. Did you note if it was sung by a choir or the pewsitters, Ryan?

I’ve never heard “The Supper of the Lord” sung in Australia but it does seem a standard in the US.
