In reply to <a href="https://www.sixmaddens.org/new-mass-settings/#comment-427">Mary</a>.

Good luck getting a bishop to approve it!
I've been trying to get this beast singable and I'll put a revised version up when I get a chance. I'll look into your suggestion of a creative commons license before I do, and thank you for the advice.

As far as making copies and using it, apart from it being at their own risk, I have no problem with that being done.

Hi - just wondering what the copyright status of this is?

Obviously parishes will only be able to use it in Mass if their local bishops have approve it (ahh, yeah, will do :-) ) - but you've published it here with no info on what to do to get permission to make copies.

fyi, I've suggested to a few people who've composed things that they consider Creative Commons licensing: this gives you control, but also gives a blanket permission to make copies without always having to ask you first.

I've rewritten this setting but I think it still needs work. I'm much less miserable about the new settings but here are so many now the sheer proliferation has become a problem.
