1. Use Geoff’s backings on this site: connect a device that can run a browser to your church’s sound system and I don’t believe you’ll have any problems.

2. Look at YouTube for instrumental recordings: there’s every chance you’ll be in luck for traditional and U.S. hymns, but, unfortunately, there’s little chance for any of the Australian ones. A particularly good source is https://www.youtube.com/@LiturgicalMusic.
A very talented lady plays practise tracks on piano typically with multiple versions including piano only, melody only, SATB parts and SATB together. It’s an amazing channel!

3. While probably too late for this week, why not record your instrumentalists alone when they are available. If someone has a better quality phone, you should be able to make quite decent recordings.

At our church we have the full set of discs for AOV Volume 1 and 2. We use these when we have no singers but no musicians. However, some of our choir have suggested that rather than singing along with the vocals on those hymns, they would like to sing with only backing tracks (no recorded vocals). Thought I had found the right site but am lost. How do we beg, borrow, steal or pay for the music only backing tracks from AOV Volume 1. For next Sunday, Thirtieth Sunday, would love to get Open My Eyes Lord, On Eagle’s Wings, All the Ends of the Earth and We Walk By Faith.
