This is probably waaay too late, but the people who have the copyright to Spirit of God are the Medical Mission Sisters. If you go to their website: https://www.medicalmissionsisters.org/what-we-do/music-books.html and click on “contact us” I imagine they will happily help you with copyright information.

It was one of the first tunes I learned to play on guitar. The other was ‘Sons of God’ – both were very simple guitar chords – my memory is that Spirit of God was like D A7 G… Thanks I’m 60 – I played that tune when I was 13.
