I fear you got the wrong impression that I had anything to do with the rewrite. Dan Schutte rewrote this himself in 2008 and I linked to his new version in the post, but it is here as well:

So definitely do not put me down as a lyricist! Since Schutte wrote the original and the altered words just acknowledge authorship as usual through your licensing provider eg OneLicence.

To comply with the catholic church’s guidelines on not using Yahweh, can we have your permission to sing this song with your revised lyrics for the refrain? We will acknowledge Dan Schutte and yourself as the lyricists of the song. Is that the right procedure?

I had another look around but it seems the only place worth trying is OCP where it is on sale for $US2.20. I can’t find anyone selling it for download.

Maybe someone can write you an arrangement based on the melody line version of the rewrite I linked to.

The other thing you may wish to do, is to contact the songwriter if you find it is out of print.
