Hold On

This is a trip back to the seventies and Sister Janet Mead‘s album, With You I Am, which contained her hit version of “The Lord’s Prayer”.

I picked up the sheet music second hand many years ago and never looked at anything beyond the hit, but the rest of the album is extraordinary.

I’m not sure any of these songs is suitable for an assembly and the sheet music is long out of print. The style of the the album varies wildly – this one is sort of early 70s Australian blues rock. This song is by Kay Stringer and is a prayer of praise.

I made backings but I’m not sure they will be useful. If you are singing along the it actually starts at “Anguish reigns”.
