I’m going to take a sharp turn from all the hymnal archeology I’ve been doing and publicise some recent achievements of Catholic youth, specifically, Proclaim Lismore Wildfire.
They describe their mission thus:
Proclaim Lismore Wildfire, or ‘Wildfire,’ is a contemporary Catholic Worship Team from the Diocese of Lismore, Australia.
Praising God through worship since 2018 and founded in the scripture ‘John 10:10,’ Wildfire travels to Primary and Secondary schools within the Diocese to invite students and staff to encounter Jesus, and live life to the full.
Lismore is in a rural area in Australia and has a Catholic diocese that takes young people’s needs seriously.
I’ll look at their latest EP, but since they only post chords and not notes, I will not make backings, just promote their talents.
“Unashamed” is a song for commmitment that would be great for schools and youth groups. It was written by Evronia Allan, Daniel Pereira, Laurie Pratt, Daniel Saban, Sophie Sullivan and Josiah Varney. The chord chart is available here.
