   Hi Geoff – I hope you’re enjoying your well earned break. Having said that, I’m butting in on it to note that I am on the music roster for tomorrow’s Vigil Mass (Australia Day), and our priests, who are both Filipino, have given me permission to play the Seekers’ “We Are Australian” as the recessional. Although technically the recessional is not part of Mass, I’m crossing fingers that the older congregation members won’t be offended at the lack of liturgical content. Again, hope you have a pleasant rest over the long weekend. Claire

     Thanks, Claire. I recall playing that song for many years without problems at a previous parish. Inculturation flows in all directions.
