Hold Us In Your Mercy: Penitential Litany G3 494

This is the English translation of the greeting and the absolution from the penitential rite from the Roman Missal. (I cribbed that straight from GIA) Except for the bits written by Rory Cooney. The music is by Gary Daigle.

The assembly replies “Hold us in your mercy” to whatever the cantor sings. The melody is pretty much the same all the way through but the chords change every few bars.

The sheet music can be purchased at GIA where the text is in their preview. I note their arrangement is for flute oboe and synthesizer.

My BIAB arrangement isn’t but does use some sampled voices. I am struggling with BIAB 2021 which is awfully buggy at the moment. I’m hoping some updates fix it soon.
