Music for the 32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time 10th/11th November 2012

The liturgy team for this week has selected these songs:

Entrance: Anthem (Conroy)

Psalm: Praise the Lord My Soul (Bolduc) Voices As One Vol 2 326

Gifts: St Theresa’s Prayer (Talbot)

Communion: Table of Plenty (Schutte) AOV 2/20

The Cry of the Poor (Foley) AOV 1/83

Recessional: Go Make a Difference (Angrisano & Tomaszcek) AOV NG 52

The Psalm by Ed Bolduc is really quite lovely with an easy refrain and more challenging verses best designed for a cantor. I have made a backing for myself to learn it and I would love to share it with you so you could hear it and if you liked it buy the music from WLP but they have told me not to.

“Jesus, Come to Us” is one we’ve sung for as long as I can remember. Bits of it remind me of “Wake Up Jeff” by the Wiggles, but that’s my problem. I’m sure you will find a way to do it reverently, Chris.

Thanks Geoff, see how we go with it. We will still have to work out where to use it in Advent, but that will be worked very soon.
