Music for the Baptism of the Lord Year C 8th/9th January 2022

I’m still putting up the music selection from my previous parish, because they are well considered. I’ll probably switch to my own once I’m up and running at the new parish later in the year.

They are switching to the Mass of Glory and Praise until Lent. They use Amanda McKenna’s very singable Psalm responses and I encourage you to purchase her book at As One Voice. They sing the Celtic Alleluia, which is an enthusiastic Gospel Acclamation with plenty of verses to fit any liturgy.

Entrance:  Like a Shepherd (Dufford) AOV 1/160

Gifts:  Baptised in Water (Saward; tune BUNESSAN) CWB II 99

Communion: Table of Plenty (Schutte) AOV 2/20

Thanksgiving: Praise To You O Christ (Farrell) AOV 1/28

Recessional: Send Down the Fire (Haugen) AOV 2/164
