Music for the First Week of Advent Year A 30th November 30th / 1st December 2019

For Advent we switch to the Mass of St Francis by Paul Taylor. This year for the wreath we are using “Come, Lord Jesus” by Chris de Silva (the American one). We will use Marty Haugen’s “Be With Me Lord” as the seasonal psalm. Instead of a thanksgiving hymn we will have quiet reflection.

I was not available to assist the team with the selections for Advent, so many thanks to those who did contribute.

Entrance: O Come, O Come Emmanuel (Neale) AOV 1/174

Gifts:  Come to Set Us Free (Farrell) AOV 1/39

Communion:  Gather Your People  (Hurd) AOV 1/71

Recessional:  God of Day and God of Darkness  (Haugen) AOV 1/56

Celebrating Thanksgiving weekend in the US, so I was back at my family’s home parish. I think it was Columba Kelly’s version, but I’m not positive.
