This song is being used at RS’s parish. The moving text is by Genevieve Glen OSB and set to MORRIS-RADER by Scot Crandel. The tune starts out conventional and goes all unexpected on us at the end of each verse.
The text is in OCP’s sample music and the sheet music can be purchased there.
I have actually already blogged this song here when I was going through As One Voice: Next Generation, but commented on the arrangement, which was very slow. The arrangement here is nearly twice as fast and handles the repeats differently so I have made a new backing:

I’m slowly making my way learning songs in Voices As One Vol 2 from WLP
I’ve already blogged Angotti’s Come to the Table (226), which me brings me to Angotti’s “Veni, Creator Spiritus”. It is placed here as a prelude to the next song “Come, Holy Spirit” by – you guessed it – John Angotti. I was dismissive of my backings for these songs when I made them for As One Voice: Next Generation, but listening to them now they are just fine.
The sheet music is at WLP and the text is just “Veni, Creator Spiritus”. They suggest it for confirmation but there is an obvious use for Pentecost.
This is for 4 music groups with each verse added until all are singing.
My backing required using RealBand rather than BIAB and this time I don’t really think it will help much with learning it.
This John Angotti song is a solo vehicle with a fiddly tune, bridge and several key changes that make an interesting song but not one for the assembly. It has a touch of the show tune to it.
The sheet music is at WLP where the lyrics are in the preview.
This is an interesting idea. Steven C Warner of the Notre Dame Folk Choir has written a refrain that can use verses based on either Psalm 23 or 34. He has four verses for each suggested for a cantor but they actually are singable enough for an assembly.
The sheet music can be purchased at WLP where the text is in their sample.
This is a funky gathering hymn by John Angotti. It suggests the verses and the bridge be sung by a cantor, which is probably correct as the verses have varying tunes and the bridge is pitched very high. The chorus would be best sung by an assembly that is on its feet. It has a bit of call and response for further participation.
The sheet music is at WLP where the lyrics are in their preview.
I've worked my way through the As One Voice books and other collections making backings on Band in a Box to help me (& you if you're interested) learn new songs for church. This is aimed at churches and musicians that own the collections but haven't exploited them fully. If you don't have them they are certainly worth buying. This site is educational, nonprofit and designed to enhance the commercial prospects of songwriters. This site does not distribute copyrighted sheet music.
