The Lord is my Shepherd (from The Vicar of Dibley)

OK, I know this is absolutely gorgeous, but we gave up after a couple of crash and burns and so haven’t touched it again. It may have been best left as a solo. I wish you better luck.

It was written by the wonderful Howard Goodall and you can hear it done superbly here. You can purchase the music here.

The Lord is my shepherd,
I shall not want;
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures.
He leadeth me beside still waters.

The Lord is my shepherd,
I shall not want;
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures.
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
Yea though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;

Yea though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me; You will comfort me
You are with me, You will comfort me.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life;
and I will dwell in the house of the
Lord forever, forever, forever, forever.
