This advent song in Spirit & Song Vol 2 has lyrics by Janet Vogt and Mark Friedman with the tune by Janet Vogt. It has a gospel swing feel in waltz time.
It should be an easy song to sing having pretty much the same tune for chorus and verses but has some has some passages to trip over: for example in the refrain – “for the blinding light” and “faith to break the dark of night”.
