The music for the Triduum is not going to change without a good reason.

Psalm 115 (Mason)
Our blessing cup is a communion with the blood of Christ.
Washing of Feet: As I Have Done For You (Schutte)

Communion: Bread Broken, Wine Shared Bread (Horner) AOV 2/155
Procession to the Altar of Repose: Stay With Me (Berthier) AOV 2/88
Still no washing of the feet at my regular parish… We sing about it, though.

My home parish actually live streamed, which they haven’t done is months (maybe more than a year). They’re doing bilingual English/Spanish liturgies for the Triduum, with some Greek and Latin thrown in for good measure.

I thought the mandatum was mandatory.
BTW have you got a link to the live stream, it looks quite a show.
Geoff
I’ve read that it’s optional, but every parish around here does it except my own. Go figure.
Here’s a link to my home parish’s live stream. I will warn you, they never perfected livestreaming, and the audio quality isn’t great. https://www.facebook.com/100070931136552/videos/1631030748040573
Thanks for the link, Ryan.
Our church is also Star of the Sea, but much smaller.
I skipped through to hear the music and thought the sound fine and singing and organ and lovely and obviously a lot of work went into it. As a small semirural parish, we use what we have and since lovely Leonie died we don’t have an organist, so it’s all guitar here I’m afraid.
I wonder if the portrait orientation is for Tiktok use.
It appears the priest washed the feet of men dressed as disciples. That limits the sign in a crippling way – maybe if they were dressed as lepers or prisoners it would work.
Better to just wash as many feet of ordinary parishioners as time allows.
Once again, thanks for sharing.
Geoff
In 1962 land, where I spent my triduum, we had Mass 4 from the Kyriale, and psalm tones galore. The organist had a blast before the Gloria, and the rest was pretty uninteresting. Ubi Caritas was sung to the proper melody (cos it’s dead easy) while the other antiphons for the mandatum were psalm toned.
I scavenged this:
From the Many, Make us One (Huck, Alonso)
O Redeemer, Hear our Singing (Quinn, Haugen)
Mass Setting: Mass of Christ Light of the Nations (Alonso)
Our Blessing Cup (Haugen)
Gospel Acclamation by Alonso
Song of the Lord’s Command (no idea)
Be my Hands and Feet (Bringle, Alonso)
Called to the Supper of the Lamb (Hommerding, Alonso)
Where Two or Three are Gathered (Lawton)
Pange Lingua (Mode III chant)
Stay with Me (Taize)
