Thanks, Ryan, especially for your research into Spanish songs. There is a broad multicultural spread of cultures in Australia but not the large Spanish community that you have in the US.

  2. I was visiting your site, as I do irregularly, looking for past Pentecost music suggestions, when I noticed that you had visited North Queensland for Mass. I sent a link to your page to Fr John K, Parish Priest of Holy Spirit Parish at Cranbrook in Townsville. He was delighted that you have been virtually attending Mass with him, his parishioners and an assortment of others.
I note in your first post about attending Mass there that you describe it as “a normal suburban mass with a heart felt homily and actual music”. The parish is a wonderfully typical suburban parish and John K is a heatfelt homilist and his occasional mid-week videos of encouragement have been lovely.

      G’Day Father Damian

Lovely to hear from you. We still have only 10 people/mass at Rochedale so I will be attending virtually for a while I think. I hope you are surviving the changing times in Ingham and that we are all back celebrating together once it is safe.

      cheers
      Geoff

      • Thanks Geoff.
We have been very busily bubbling along. We stream Mass every day – but we use canned music. We have a lovely small chapel that has provided an intimate space for Mass. Today, I post-celebrated Our Lady Help of Christians for our secondary schooticipal as their Feast Day with 9 others in their chapel and then live-streamed into each classroom. The response from staff was very positive in terms of participation.
We are planning a re-opening with 20 people per Mass from 12 June and will keep streaming. Even the 100 will be problematic for a couple of our Masses.
Very much looking forward to the body being reunited in body.
        God bless

Thanks for the list Donna, I’ve been attending (e-ttending?) from Ireland, and it will be handy to look up the words to these in advance, as well as to pray/sing the Mass parts with you.

  5. Donna Parison says:

Hi Mary thank you for choosing us to e-ttend with at Holy Spirit Parish Cranbrook. We are very pleased and excited you and others from so far outside our parish are e-ttending our live streamed Sunday Mass with our parishioners. I will try to blog each week from now on.
