I have blogged a modern version of this but never this original by Samuel Medley set to DUKE STREET by John Hatton. They sing this hymn at Ryan’s parish.
The text and sheet music are at Hymnary. It is in 400+ Hymnals.

This is another request for a song that is listed as traditional here along with the Spanish lyrics. Abel Di Marco is listed as at least the arranger on the net. There is an English translation at the bottom of this page. I couldn’t find sheet music to buy anywhere.
You Tube has a clip here. There are others there that are pretty ghastly and best avoided.
This is a request for a wedding song and is a challenge. I can’t find the author, the music, etc , etc. There are several You-Tube clips in different keys with different arrangements and inexact words. One site said it came from the Carmelites but I can’t find any trace of it.
These are the lyrics as best as I can make out – the lyrics I found just couldn’t fit the tune so I have adjusted them slightly.
Covenant Journey
Let me walk with you, as I journey to this land
Searching for a meaning as each moment passes by
Let the hand of time be like footprints in the sand
As I carry you from the dawn to the setting sun.
Chorus:
With just one hand we can travel far together
One’s life sharing in love
I will hold you forever
Yes, I love you with all my heart.
There’ll be many crossroads as we walk along the way
There’ll be many questions as we live life day by day
This will never matter if the Lord is always there
He will surely find the answers just because he cares
I have made an approximate backing but am happy to be corrected:
You might have better luck getting the tune from these clips:
Herman Stuempfle Jnr wrote the text of this, the umpteenth hymn set to Beethoven’s “Song of Joy”. It was used last week at RS’s parish. Choosing a familiar tune is an excellent way to encourage participation but I think it puts a lot of pressure of the words to live up to famous tune.
His text is here (well two verses) and you know the tune.
This clip is from last Saturday at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church (Jackson, MI).
This is another one that RS’s parish use that is new to me. The subject makes it a song for Holy Week especially.
The text is a recent one by Kate Bluett set to CRUCIFIXUS by Kevin Keil. There have a whole album here.
The sheet music is at OCP. The text is in their sample and also in comment 18 in this Pray tell thread where the tunesmith lauds his lyricist. There is also commentary here.
This is a delightful hymn by Richard Hillert based on revelation 5. I love the twists in the tune and the 4/4 to 6/4 stumbles. It was used recently at RS’s parish and is a lovely surprise.
As I’m going through the OCP Guitar Accompaniment Book I’m coming across a lot of older tunes that are new to me.
This is a nineteenth century (John Neale) translation of an eleventh century text, Angularis fundamentum. It is set to Henry Purcell’s tune WESTMINSTER ABBEY.
I've worked my way through the As One Voice books and other collections making backings on Band in a Box to help me (& you if you're interested) learn new songs for church. This is aimed at churches and musicians that own the collections but haven't exploited them fully. If you don't have them they are certainly worth buying. This site is educational, nonprofit and designed to enhance the commercial prospects of songwriters. This site does not distribute copyrighted sheet music.
